Activity Synopsis (ID# 11061) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Give detail training to persons coming from different social security sectors (civil servants, trade union representatives, academic staff, etc) in the Beneficiary States.
Output/Results Two week programme (summer school). High level speakers in social security management, philosophy, economics, etc are invited to present each particular subject.
The agenda is divided between theoretical presentations, working groups and a complusory examination at the end of the programme.
Conclusions/Follow Up The Summer school was a success, both in the organisation and in the academic part. The information received in back in the Secretariat from the evaluation form clearly shows that the seminar was highly appreciated. The local was ideal for working purposes and the professors achieved to explain the problems of social security coordination from different angles. Two participants failed the final exam. All the other, depending on their results, recevied either a certificate of attendance, or a diploma (pass, cum lauda, or magna cum lauda).
