Activity Synopsis (ID# 13190) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss and revise the draft Declaration to be signed during the Ministerial Conference on Social Security Co-ordination in the Western Balkans Region(Zagreb, 24 March 2006). 
Output/Results The meeting was conducted in a very constructive way. Some major problems were put forward by the participants, therefore a revised text - acceptable for all the signatory countries - need to be drafted.
 
Conclusions/Follow Up A revised text of the declaration, including the remarks made at this conference as well as the observations of the Legal Department, will be sent to the participants in two weeks time. All the participants were requested to give their further remarks no later than the end of February.
To enhance the impact of the declaration, and the visibility of the Ministers’ Conference, the SISP Local Project Officers will be requested to timely notify the media of each country about the event.
