Description Within the framework of the Regional Programme for cultural and natural heritage in South East Europe [Component B - Integrated rehabilitation project plan / Survey of the architectural and archaeological heritage (IRPP/SAAH) jointly implemented by the CoE and the EC], the Chairwoman of the RIC took part in the RIC plenary meeting and evaluated the tenders received for Ljeviska (see CEAD 15640)

Activity Synopsis (ID# 15884) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Following the call for tenders for works to be carried out on the damaged Orthodox sites in Kosovo (see CEAD Activity 15640), the Chair participated in a RIC meeting to evaluate the tenders received.
Chair took advantage of being in Kosovo to:
- brief UNMIK on activities and meet UNMIK Treasury Division;
- meet Cultural Heritage without borders (ChwB) representatives.
- meet David Blunt, British Office in Kosovo 
Output/Results - Agreed on the transfer of funds from the Ministry to the CoE through a Memorandum of Understanding to manage direct RIC works.
- Discussed future training activities with ChwB participation.
- Meeting with British Office raised the awareness of RIC activities and security issues.
- Made recommendation to the SOC for the appointment of qualified contractor for Ljeviska lead roof repairs
