Activity Synopsis (ID# 16075) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) The aim of the AWS was to improve the awareness of the risks of Cybercrime not only within the group of legal experts, but also among other professionals who could be involved in the fight against Cybercrime.
Output/Results Presentations by foreign and local experts and contributions from participants proved that Cybercrime already played a role in the every-day work of law enforcement agencies. Although the lecturers gave an overview of the general threat of Cybercrime, participant showed great interest in the presented items. Organization of such kind of awareness workshops in towns in Serbia reflects the need of the local professionals to be informed / educated on the ways and methods of investigating serious crimes, having in mind that usually professionals living/working outside of Belgrade are not always able to attend seminars/WS that are organized in the Capital.

Conclusions/Follow Up PACO-Serbia Project should organize similar events as much as possible not only in capital but also around of country.
Participants Participants that took part at the AWS were judges, public prosecutors, police officers, misdemeanor’s judges, representative of the Law Faculty and representative of media.
Consultants/Experts Mr. Marco Gercke
