Title CARDS Police: Regional meeting of specialists implementing covert technical surveillance and interception measures / Training workshop on the use of technology in relation to the implementation of SIMS 
Description The main objective of this 2-day closed meeting between SIMS practioners will be to provide a forum on technical SIMS: to exchange knowledge and experience, to discuss possibilities for enhanced regional co-operation, to exchange information on good practices in the implementation of technical equipment for use of SIMS, to share information about products, manufacturers and distributors of technical products, to organise a demonstration of technical products and to establish contacts with distributors.

Activity Synopsis (ID# 16154) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) The purpose of this meeting, co-organised with the Special Investigative Department of Croatia was to familiarise practitioners from all over SEE dealing with SIMS on a daily basis with technical support and equipment related to special investigative activities.
 
Output/Results Practitioners could familiarise themselves with new techniques and discuss among them behind closed doors the advantages of various equipment and methods used in their respective countries. 
Conclusions/Follow Up Further support will be given by CoE to ensure a broad use of SIMS in line with the respect of human rights standards.
