Expected Result 3.1 - Prison management and operational staff’s professionalism is strengthened by improving their knowledge on European human rights standards, in particular the ECtHR and its case law and the standards of the CPT, as well as their skills in using these in their daily work.

Activity Synopsis (ID# 17039) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To train future trainers in Montenegro on substantive European human rights standards and methodological aspects 
Output/Results The initial selection of trainers produced 8 trainers of a high intellectual quality which have clearly been exposed to training in the past and hence are equally competent in this field. Much more hope is placed in them than in the operational prison staff 
Conclusions/Follow Up The next activity to be organised with the trainers will consist in a one-day pilot cascade training seminar on European human rights standards in the month of March 2008
