Activity Synopsis (ID# 17495) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To improve the awareness of cybercrime among legal experts and professionals (from public and private institutions) involved in the fight against cybercrime. 
Output/Results The general threat of cybercrime was presented, as well as the specific situation of Serbia in this respect. The role of internet providers and the solutions offered by the Convention and experiences in the fight against cybercrime in Serbia and other countries were presented. 
Conclusions/Follow Up Partnerships and cooperation between private and public sectors is essential to combat cybercrime. This meeting gathered for the first time professionals fighting cybercrime and media persons. Their presence will be further reinforced in the coming activities. Additional seminars lasting more than one day will be organised upon the participant's request.
