Show Synopsis

Title Youth video project for RAE in Kosovo, Mitrovica
Description Through the Youth Video Project Mitrovica young people who have spent a significant part of their lives in an IDP camp will produce a 15-20 minute documentary. The themes addressed in the documentary will be determined by the young people involved, but will be about their lives in their community.

The project will encourage young people to be active, whilst giving them an opportunity to express themselves. Young people in the camps don’t have access to university or school and they face many social problems. This project will teach them to work together as a team; the participants will gain film-making and basic journalistic skills. Through the training and working experience that participants re-ceive, they will be able to develop new documentary film projects of their own in the future.
The project will last 5 months, including post-production and the promotion of the documentary.
