Title Plaque Project (Council of Europe label for monuments) 
Description The plaques are awarded by the Council of Europe and the European Commission as part of the joint “Integrated Rehabilitation Project Plan / Survey of the Architectural and Archaeological Heritage”project. It aims at supporting the rehabilitation processes undertaken by national and local authorities in Albania,Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo/UNMIK,Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” on monuments and sites requesting priority intervention.
The plaques carry the legend ‘Rehabilitating our Common European Heritage’ and state that the sites selected by the participating countries are of national priority and are being rehabilitated. They provide an opportunity for national publicity and political promotion within each of the participating countries, advertising and consolidating the efforts and achievements of the national stakeholders in the funding and protection of the heritage and improving the living environment of European citizens.
The plaques, awarded each year in time for the European Heritage Days, another activity jointly supported by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, will be produced in the national language or languages as well as in English and French, so as to be accessible to all, and will carry the logos of the main stakeholders supporting the projects.
