Activity Synopsis (ID# 20168) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To discuss the state of progress of activities with representatives of the participating countries in the IRPP/SAAH (Component of the Regional Programme for Cultural and Natural Heritage in South East Europe) and to agree on the next steps to be made.
Output/Results Countries have demonstrated their willingness to pursue the activities and develop the impact of the project in preparing the promotion of the rehabilitation projects they have elaborated during a funding conference which should take place in 2008. A timetable has been adopted in order to complete the action in progress according to the action plan 2007.
Conclusions/Follow Up The IRPP/SAAH is progressively imposing new practices and new professional culture in the participating countries. The evolution of the project according to the opportunities created in and by the countries is naturally leading towards the final test represented by the funding of the projects by external investments. The level of funding already ensured by the countries themselves underlines the usefulness of the methods proposed and countries are ready on that basis to consider more important reforms in order to consolidate their European integration.
Participants National Programme Co-ordinators responsible for the implementation of the IRPP/SAAH; local representatives of the Institute for Protection of Monuments.
Consultants/Experts IRPP/SAAH Expert Group
