Title Regional Meeting on ''the role of regulatory institutions in fully funded pension insurance in the course of compliance with EU Directives. 
Description Notably civil servants but also representatives from the Pension Funds of the Beneficiary States to the Programme meet in Skopje to further examine, with the assistance of international experts, the changes needed in their respective legislation to conform with EC standards (notably on coordination).

Activity Synopsis (ID# 21338) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Experts introduce their experience about the different pension insurance possibilities to help national authorities of the Beneficiary States to examine which of the existing pension insurance systems adapts best to their needs. 
Output/Results Different cases where examined. Advantages and disadvantages discussed. Participants have received clear indications of how to overcome difficulties encounteres when adopting any of those insurance schemes. 
Conclusions/Follow Up Further meetings are necessary. The issue is a difficult one and it is important for the Beneficiary State to examine it carefully before embarking on the adoption of a specific scheme.
