Activity Synopsis (ID# 22399) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Third European QA Forum held in Budapest 20-22 November 2008 was dedicated in general to trends - European and international in quality assurance. This Forum focused on two particular issues: manner in which HEIs and QA Agencies are responding to the new forms of accountability and the question do these new forms of accountability have desired impact on quality levels. The Forum was co-organized, again, by the E-4 group: EUA, ESU, ENQA and EURASHE. Project Team deemed important to send again, as for the Second European Quality Forum held in Rome in 2007, one representative from Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assessment (CAQA) and one from the National Council of HE (NCHE) since both institutions are tasked with quality assurance issues.

Output/Results Attendance proved very beneficial for both institutions given that participants reported back not only to their respective institutions but to the academia as well. Participants used the opportunity to improve their knowledge of QA trends at the European level, but also to link better with colleagues from partner institutions abroad.

Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assessment (CAQA) asked Project Team to send 2 instead of one representative to the event. Project Team agreed since inherent goal of the Project/all activities is to raise sustainability of and within the beneficiary institutions.

Conclusions/Follow Up Project will continue providing participation at relevant international events for different Serbian stakeholders.
