Activity Synopsis (ID# 23919) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) This Conference was organised to present the output of the Working Group on the RoA Draft Law on Making Amendments and Additions to the RoA Law on Television and Radio and to address Journalistic ethics and provisions on defamation and insult in the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. 
Output/Results About 80 participants representing media organisations, NGOs, lawyers, journalists, academics and the international community attended and there was a very active pluralistic discussion. A very comprehensive documentation was distributed which included the draft law (in Armenian and English), suggested amendments from the Working Group, and comments on those amendments by the OSCE and CoE Experts.
