Title Preparatory meeting 
Description The meeting’s main aim is to set the ground for an effective implementation of project activities.
Therefore, its objectives are:
-to ensure effective information, support and cooperation from the key local stakeholders;
-to define precisely, in cooperation with the representatives of key stakeholders, the content of the activities and the target group that will be involved, taking into account the current strategic, policy and legislative framework and building on previous achievements resulted from the cooperation of civil society and international organisations with public institutions;
-to identify ways through which the project’s outcomes can obtain concrete support on the ground, in order to prevent overlapping and misuse of resources, promote effective change and ensure sustainability and mainstreaming

Objective(s) -to ensure effective information, support and cooperation from the key local stakeholders;
-to define precisely, in cooperation with the representatives of key stakeholders, the content of the activities and the target group that will be involved, taking into account the current strategic, policy and legislative framework and building on previous achievements resulted from the cooperation of civil society and international organisations with public institutions;
-to identify ways through which the project’s outcomes can obtain concrete support on the ground, in order to prevent overlapping and misuse of resources, promote effective change and ensure sustainability and mainstreaming.
 
Output/Results -Key stakeholders informed about Council of Europe documents and activities in this field, and about other relevant good practices at European level;
-Connection established of the activities planned in the project with the Education Component of the Strategy For Integration of Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian Communities in Kosovo (Education component of RAE Integration Strategy) and with the current plans of the Ministry of Education
-First list of proposed target municipalities, schools and communities established; Criteria, procedures and responsibilities for identifying participants to the activities of the project defined.
-Feedback and suggestions on the overall content and approach of forthcoming training programme
-Overview of responsibilities to ensure effective monitoring and sustainability of the activities, while avoiding overlapping and favouring synergy with the other components of the project and coordination with other ongoing activities.
 
Conclusions/Follow Up -Activities planned in this component of the project are a contribution to the implementation of the Education component of the RAE Integration Strategy.
-Ministry of Education confirmed commitment and institutional support for the implementation of the activities.
-Civil society organisations, including RAE organisations, expressed support and availability to contribute to the identification of participants and to the monitoring at local level.
-The planned activities and the materials developed by the CoE respond to a real need in the education system of Kosovo.
-A regular communication will be established by the CoE Office in Kosovo for all relevant stakeholders during the whole project.
