Expected Result 1.7 - Reform of Higher Education in UNMIK/Kosovo a. qualifications framework is developed compatible with the overarching qualifications framework of the European Higher Education Area. b. National Information Centre on the recognition of qualifications established and integrated into the European Network of National Information Centres on academic recognition and mobility (ENIC Network) c. Recommendations on the further development of the UNMIK/Kosovo higher education system, with a focus on the diversity of institutions and provisions (public and private; general and specialized higher education) and the exercise of public responsibility for higher education

Activity Synopsis (ID# 25467) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) • Inform/disseminate and update a wider group of concerned actors in Kosovo on the objectives and progress of the Bologna Process and the emerging EHEA and their implications and benefits for higher education in Kosovo;
• Increase the project’s profile in the field;
• Show practical example of harmonisation and cooperation of the stakeholders by converging activities with TEMPUS;
• Obtain an up to date briefing regarding the concerns and priorities of the concerned actors regarding HE reform.
 
Output/Results • Increased awareness of the Bologna Process and its implications in Kosovo and the region
• Increased awareness of the IBP project among the academic community, public authorities and international actors
• Bologna Promoters involved in consultations regarding the project’s approach
• A set of recommendations for the further implementation of Bologna reforms and the IBP project 
Conclusions/Follow Up • Assistance by the project to set up the HE Council
• Assistance by the project to set up a group of experts to elaborate a HEQF for Kosovo
• Where possible, assistance for representatives from Kosovo to attend Bologna related international events/forums.
