Expected Result 2 Assistance is provided to Member States to improve their social security systems and to comply with the Council of Europe norms on social security. Technical assistance continues in Ukraine and Russia in view of the signature of the Code.

Activity Synopsis (ID# 25889) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) The objectives of the activity were the following:
- To accelerate the resolution of pending cases in social security matters for claimants who may have acquired rights in the two Beneficiary Parties;
- To provide beneficiaries with information about their rights;
- To allow the experts themselves to exchange information regarding the compatibility of their national regulations. 
Output/Results Representatives of the two Beneficiary Parties met together to solve pending cases on social security issues. 140 individual cases where examined. 
Conclusions/Follow Up  
Participants There were 140 individual complaints examined by the experts. These citizens have pending claims to social security benefits involving both Beneficiary Parties. The list of complaints can be requested from the Secretariat of the Programme.
