Activity Synopsis (ID# 25977) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Meeting was held on 19 February 2009. Main aim was to enable participants to compare existing European standards with the rules and practice at their universities as well as to make the list of pending issues / obstacles that need to be addressed in order to improve recognition procedure in Serbia. Having that in mind translated Lisbon Recognition Convention (LRC) and subsidiary documents were submitted to participants on time, while CoE expert Dr Carita Blomqvist prepared presentation summarizing main components of the LRC procedure.
Output/Results Participants realized that there is a need to separate two procedures – the one for academic and the one for professional recognition, plus to take measures to improve both procedures in order to make them compliant with LRC requirements both formal and substantive. In addition NAP on recognition needs to be revised.
