Activity Synopsis (ID# 26279) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To continue the regional dimension of the CoE/EU Joint Programme ''Combating ill-treatment and impunity'' and to analyse the effective investigation of allegations of ill-treatment on a cross-regional perspective, and to exchange experience, focusing on the best European practices. 
Output/Results The International Conference on developing effective complaints systems in line with European standards was organised in co-operation with the Institute for Social Researches in Kyiv, bringing together the representatives of all five beneficiary countries of the CoE/EU Joint Programme ''Combating ill-treatment and impunity'', as well as foreign experts from European countries. 
Conclusions/Follow Up The conference resulted in taking stock of the progress and identifying problems and measures to address them in line with European standards, and in particular in line with the Country Reports produced in each beneficiary country of the CoE/EU Joint Programme ''Combating ill-treatment and impunity'' and their recommendations. 
Participants The national delegations from the beneficiary countries of the CoE/EU Joint Programme ''Combating ill-treatment and impunity'' and experts and representatives of the relevant institutions in European countries.
