Activity Synopsis (ID# 26409) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To analyse the following pieces of legislation of project areas, assess their compliance with the CoE and international starndards in respective field and provide advice on how to improve the legislation which is subject of the analysis:
-Cybercrime provisions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ''the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia'';
- amended Criminal Code of Serbia;
- Confiscation and cybercrime provisions of Criminal Code of Montenegro;
- Draft Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;
- Draft Law on Inernational Co-operation in Criminal Matters of Albania;
- Draft Law on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, Extradition and Transfer of Sentenced Persons of Kosovo.
 
Output/Results The expert opinion including recommendations for improvement provided on:
- Cybercrime provisions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ''the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia'';
- amended Criminal Code of Serbia;
- Confiscation and cybercrime provisions of Criminal Code of Montenegro;
- Draft Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing;
- Draft Law on Inernational Co-operation in Criminal Matters of Albania;
- Draft Law on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, Extradition and Transfer of Sentenced Persons of Kosovo.

Report provided on compliance of legislation of project areas with the CETS 182 and EU MLA Convention from 2000.

Regional workshop on compliance with CETS 182 organised from 21-23 September 2009 in Tirana, Albania.

Roundtable and follow up roundateble co-organised with EULEX in Pristina on draft Law on the Prevention of Money Laudering and Terroris Financing.
