Activity Synopsis (ID# 27495) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To conduct an evaluation of the progress done since the launching of the project and to present and adopt the progress report, as well as the workplan for 2011.
Output/Results National teams have been able to continue the scientific work on the project in good conditions as the 2010 contract with the teams have been signed early in the year. A second National Workshop has been organised in each target country, between February and June 2010. The main objective of the second year national workshops was to perform a quality check of data provided in 2009, to provide teams with delivery agenda and milestones for the 2010 interim delivery and to allow national teams to do a practical work with the scientific expert of the project on data collection and distribution. National teams also presented their field work and lessons learnt.

In addition to the national Workshops, two sub-regional Workshops have taken place, one in the Russian Federation as planned, and a second one in Georgia, via a web-conference. These events have provided national team members and leaders from the participating countries with the opportunity to meet and exchange information on their own progress and share good practices. The second meeting of the project Steering Committee took place on October 14, 2010 in Strasbourg, in presence of the project external monitor.
Conclusions/Follow Up The Steering Committee adopted the second draft progress report and endorsed the work-plan according to the following calendar:
•February 2011: National workshops in Ukraine ;
•March 2011: National workshops in Moldova and Belarus;
•April 2011: National Workshop in Armenia and the Russian Federation, Sub-regional workshop in the Russian Federation
