Activity Synopsis (ID# 27844) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Members of the WG for NQF suggested translating and printing one more publication in addition to the ECTS Users’ Guide, namely the book dedicated to the learning outcomes and as the best practical guide / manual was suggested book by professor Declan Kennedy on “Writing and Using Learning Outcomes – A Practical Guide”. Having in mind the importance of the learning outcomes, their close links with ECTS allocation and quality assurance, as well as the fact that learning outcomes are in the essence of realising concept of student centred approach versus old / traditional teacher centred one, Project team accepted to undertake all necessary steps in order to achieve this. Thus in May 2009 Quality Promotion Unit of the University College Cork was contacted and Project asked for the copyright regarding translation into Serbian and printing of the book. Conditions, all of which are acceptable were submitted to the Project team end of May. Thus with the copyright granted conditions for initiating translation and printing of the publication were met and Project team proceeded with translation and printing.
Output/Results English terminology used demonstrated to be more difficult for translation than foreseen. Additional consultations with the national experts Project is co-operating with were used to come up with the best possible translated version. Final version of the translated book was received in September and was sent once again for proof reading to national experts. It is expected to have the book printed end of November 2009. 
Conclusions/Follow Up Book will be printed in the near future.
