Title |
Expert Group Recognition of non-formal learning and youth work |
Description |
Recognition of non-formal learning and of youth work was subject of various activities of the EU-CoE youth partnership. The Youth Covention in July 2010 in Ghent, organised under the Belgian EU Presidency put some further emphasis on the topic. A number of stakeholders (NA’s, SALTO RC TCP, Advisory Group YouthPass, Expert Group Youth Worker Portfolio, European Youth Forum…) have expressed the need for a more coordinated approach at European level and expressed the expectation to the partnership team to play a coordinating role in the follow-up to the Ghent event. It is planned to invite a task force of experts to discuss future strategies and concrete measures to reinforce recognition of youth work and non-formal learning. The meeting could lead – amongst other activities to the planning of a symposium on the theme in 2011. |
