Title Seminar on European standards and practices on probation 
Description The Republic of Moldova implements reforms of the criminal justice system and introduced probation and community service and other forms of alternative punishment, leading to a decrease in the total population incarcerated and the improvement of conditions of detention.

The aim of probation is to contribute to a fair criminal justice process, as well as to public safety by preventing and reducing the occurrence of offences. Probation agencies are among the key agencies of justice and that their work has an impact on the reduction of the prison population

The seminar is intended to discuss the quality of the regulatory framework and the effectiveness of its implementation in the Republic of Moldova.
