Activity Synopsis (ID# 31921) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) To strengthening the capacities of the Directorate for Confiscated Property Management (DMSCA) and improvement of the system for search, seizure and confiscation of proceeds from crime in Serbia 
Output/Results A series of highly specialized trainings aimed at capacity building of the main beneficiaries were held during the reporting period. Selected staff of DMSCA - approximately 30 of them, were intensively trained on different aspects of asset management. More than 35 Financial Investigation Unit staff members went through a number of sophisticated trainings on economic and legal aspects related to the different financial instruments in tracing the proceeds from crime. First part of the specialised trainings for prosecutors have also been completed whereas the curricula for 2012 trainings for the aforementioned beneficiaries will be finalised in January 2012. 
Conclusions/Follow Up the trainings will be continued in 2012 and annual curriculas per institutions (Financial Investigative Unit and DMSCA) will be finalised
