Activity Synopsis (ID# 32158) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) This seminar was organised by the EU-CoE youth partnership with the aim to contribute to the work of both institutions in the field of voluntary activities of young people, as well as increase the understanding and constructive dialogue among the members of the youth policy triangle on the topic of mobility of young volunteer across borders in Europe, particularly of those with fewer opportunities. The aim of this “trialogue” was to try to “objectivise” as much as possible the issues at stake and discuss problems and solutions from real life.
Output/Results The seminar consisted of four panels at which both researchers and youth volunteering practitioners shared their knowledge and experience on the subject. Their presentations are available on the website of the EU-CoE youth partnership. A list of common conclusions and recommendations is drawn up that will be shared with the widest possible audience of stakeholders.
Conclusions/Follow Up The recommendations will be shared with various stakeholders; further activities in this field will be discussed by the EU-CoE youth partnership.
Participants Most of the participants had a direct background in organising or supervising activities of young volunteers. Second group of participants consisted of researchers in the field. Finally, several policy-makers equally participated in the event.
Consultants/Experts Maria-Carmen Pantea, Convener for the event (Member of the Pool of European Youth Researchers); Soren Kristensen, Reporter (youth expert)
