Activity Synopsis (ID# 32174) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) The 8th Social Security Coordination and Social Security Reforms Steering Committee (SC) meeting has been organised to discuss and adopt the 7th SC report, to discuss the Action Plan for the extension period of the Programme and the follow up to the Budva Ministerial Declaration, as well as to report on activities organised between January and March 2011.
Output/Results The 8th SC meeting report was adopted with several changes.

The Secretariat reported on activities organised after the last meeting of the Steering Committee and on evaluation of those events. The Secretariat suggested that the Beneficiary Parties would discuss the follow-up of the organised activities on national level. Croatian representative informed about developments in regulating the social security database on national level. Other Beneficiary Parties were interested in this presentation.

Financial, technical, and organisational questions connected to the publication of the Ministerial Declaration have also been discussed.

The Committee focused on follow-up activities and the reporting process as agreed in the Budva Ministerial Declaration once the JP is formally completed in August 2011. In this context, the Beneficiary Parties have been informed about the Institutional Reform process in the Council of Europe.

The Secretariat informed the Committee that the expert/consultant to draft the Serbian legal analysis was finally identified.

The activities to be organised until the end of the Programme have been confirmed. The Committee agreed that the event on Health Insurance might be postponed to early July because of availability of experts.

The translation issues, the venues of the activities and financial considerations were also discussed.

Conclusions/Follow Up The Committee decided to meet in July for the last meeting of the Steering Committee to examine the overall impact of the Programme and the implementation of the Action Plan.
