Title Purchase of 300 books '' Conventia Europeana a drepturilor omului. Comentariu pe articole. Editia 2'' by Corneliu Birsan, 2010. 
Description The book represents an up to date complex compilation of the case-law of the ECHR, where article by article is commented and analysed. The books will be disseminated to the judges of the Republic of Moldova with the aim to increase the knowledge of existing human rights standards developed by the Court.

Activity Synopsis (ID# 32392) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) Facilitate the access to high quality information on the ECHR to legal professions (judges, prosecutors, lawyers etc). 
Output/Results Being an updated publication of 2010 and written by the Romanian judge to the ECtHR, the Commentary is a very important tool for legal practitioners (judges, prosecutors, lawyers) which can enable them to properly interpret and apply the ECtHR jurisprudence in their daily work. 300 copies of the Commentary have been purchased by the Joint Programme. 
Conclusions/Follow Up This publication shall improve the application of the ECHR at domestic level and therefore contribute to a better protection of human rights. The Commentary is being distributed among beneficiaries of the programme on occasion of very important meetings and activities. Courts, the Governmental Agent and the MoJ with its WGs for justice sector reforms, the Ombudsman Institution, the NIJ are among the beneficiaries of the distribution.
