Title Development of a guide on rights of persons with mental disabilities 
Description The guide shall be developed by a field Moldovan NGO ''Humanitas'' in co-operation with experts from the Centre for Human Rights in Moldova (Moldovan Ombudsman Institution) and shall have the role to support the protection of human rights especially and to promote tolerance for people with disabilities, favouring their social integration.

Project Purpose 4 - 2010/DGHL/JP/2447   Support to the Ombudsman institution
Expected Result 4.4 - Strengthening the role of local government in protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms. Both the Ombudsman’s staff and the staff of local authorities are made aware of the latter’s specific obligations as concerns the respect and defence of human rights and of the ombudsman’s power to monitor such respect.

Activity Synopsis (ID# 33127) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) A comprehensive guide of rights of PwD will be developed, with support from CoE experts and in close collaboration with staff of Ombudsman institution and of medical institutions, as well as with NGO representatives, with an experience in the field of disability. The guide will be shared with staff of medical institutions and representatives of relevant NGOs. 
Output/Results The Guide on rights of persons with mental disabilities has been developed in cooperation with the Humanitas NGO and published in 2000 copies
