Title Annual Round Table with Russian Ombudsmen 11-12 October 2011 in Samara, RF 
Description The annual round tables keep Russian regional ombudsmen abreast of current Council of Europe activities and of Council of Europe instruments of relevance to the regional ombudsmen. They also provide an opportunity for the ombudsmen to build up constructive working relations among themselves, as well as to exchange good practice.

The 2011 meeting will e.g. address the roles of Russian judicial and non-judicial bodies in protecting human rights, whether some form of public scrutiny of the judiciary is desirable, and international and domestic experiences in these areas.
