Title Expert Meeting to discuss the assessment of the draft amendments to justice sector legislation (Law on the status of judges; Law on the Superior Council of Magistrates and Law on judicial organisation). 
Description A working group set up by the MoJ produced draft amendments to important legislation in the justice sector of the Republic of Moldova (Law on the status of judges; Law on the Superior Council of Magistrates and Law on judicial organisation). The MoJ has requested from the CoE to provide expert assistance by the way of assessing the mentioned amendments and discuss them for the purpose of improving and making them compliant with European standards.

The JP has contracted two CoE experts (judges), namely Mr. Cristi Danilet (Romania) and Mr. Giacomo Oberto (Italy) to express their opinions on the amendments to be made as well as on the current wording of the mentioned laws. The round table will be dediacated to debates on the expertises and draft laws.
