Description On October 27 within the framework of the programme of Ukraine’s Chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers, the Media JP together with the National Broadcasting Council of Ukraine organized an international conference “Digital broadcasting in Europe: legal, regulatory and technical aspects”. The event aimed at sharing good practices in implementing the process of switchover to digital broadcasting in European countries, getting a view of the state of affairs in Ukraine to date, identifying the most sensitive challenges of the transition from analogue to digital broadcasting and discussing potential solutions. Among the 130 participants were representatives of the regulatory authorities from 8 European countries, representatives of the European Broadcasting Union and European Audiovisual Observatory, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ukrainian MPs, representatives of national, local and regional broadcasters, civil society and researchers. 36 journalists attended and reported on the event.
