Activity Synopsis (ID# 33730) (Hide Synopsis)

Objective(s) The publication comprises materials presented at the International Conference „Reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its subdivisions: problems, solutions and realisation perspectives” (Chisinau, 19 April 2011), organised by the JP in co-operation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and the Police Academy of the Republic of Moldova. The purpose of the event was to present and discuss the main aspects of the reform of the MIA and its subdivisions, to make a comparative analysis of principles, stages and all aspects of MIA reform, to facilitate the change of lessons learned and best practices of the CoE member countries in the area, as well as to formulate concrete conclusions, proposals and recommendations on principles, stages and various aspects of MIA reform. 
Output/Results  
Conclusions/Follow Up The brochure is designed for all persons who are interested about main principles and stages of the reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova and its subdivisions, as well as for foreign experts and the large public. It is to be distributed among stakeholders and other interested entities and persons in order to raise public awareness on the police reform in the Republic of Moldova.
