Title Round table meeting at the Constitutional Court on the Art. 34-35 of the ECHR 
Description In the framework of the extension of the European Union/Council of Europe Joint Programme on “Enhancing the Role of the Supreme Judicial Authorities in respect of European standards”, a component on the support to the Constitutional Court will be included. The Law No: 6216 on the Establishment and Rules of Procedure of the CC of Turkey, which was passed by the Parliament on 30 March 2011, foresees among other the introduction of individual constitutional complaints. In view of fulfilling this duty, the CC will be supported by the CoE Project Team, which will organise a first needs assessment study in Ankara on the introduction of the review of individual applications.

Objective(s)  
Output/Results A Round Table has been carried out on admissibility criteria of individual applications, both before the ECtHR and before the Constitutional Court of Turkey, in view of the upcoming applications which will come to the CC of Turkey in September 2012. Interesting exchanges took place between rapporteurs of the Spanish CC and the Turkish one, as well as representatives of the ECtHR.
