4th Thematic Workshop for specialised staff of European NPMs |
Description |
In the context of the setting-up an active network of European National Preventive Mechanisms Against Torture (NPMs) under the ''European NPM Project'' funded by an EU-COE JP called P2P II Project and the Human Rights Trust Fund (HRTF) specialised staff from European NPMs are given the opportunity to exchange views and compare experiences on issues of concern to their daily work with colleagues from all over Europe as well as with experts from the UN Sub-Committee against Torture (SPT), the European Commission for the prevention of Torture (CPT) and the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) and also individual experts. The pupose is to enhance the operational capacities of the European NPMs for the prevention of torture.
The theme of this workshop will be “Security and human dignity in prisons”. |
