Title Information meeting on Council of Europe Eastern Partnership Facility  
Description The second information meeting on the Council of Europe Eastern Partnership (EaP) Facility, took place on Wednesday, 19 October 2011 in the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The Ambassadors and/or representatives from EaP partner Countries, Ambassador Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, Head of European Union Delegation to the Council of Europe and the Council of Europe Secretariat participated in the meeting.

The purpose of this meeting was to provide representatives of EaP partner countries with the updated information on the projects and activities implemented by the Council of Europe within the CoE Facility for the period from 1 March to 15 October 2011 in the areas covered by Platform 1 “Democracy, Good Governance and Stability”.

Project Purpose 6 - 2011/DGDPA/JP/2634   Transversal component: co-ordination and visibility
Expected Result 6.1 - Transversal Steering Committees: to enable all main partners involved (CoE, EU & national authorities) to be provided with updated information on progress in projects’ implementation and to assess impact of projects in targeted areas. The mission of the Steering Committee is to assess and to guide the Facility’s projects’ implementation: ensuring that the deliverables meet the requirements which were set, advising on decisions on the requirements for the Facility’s projects, assessing the monitoring and audit results and supervising a communication campaign following the visibility guidelines concerning, notably, acknowledgement of EU financing.
