Show Synopsis
Title Publication and presentation of the guidelines “Frequently asked questions about access to public information” for public officials
Description The project developed guidelines with expert explanations how the public officials should act based on the law in the most typical cases. In May 2012, more than 60 authorities provided the authors of the manual with information about current challenges faced by public officials while implementing the law. According to their feedback after a year of implementing the law, most of these challenges were related to dealing with confidential information, procedure of publicizing the information, proper consideration or requests for information as well as liability for violations of the law. The project experts provided guidance and legal advice on how public officials should act in the situations they find challenging to date. The publication was publicly presented on 24 July.
