Aim
The aim of the Meeting is to bring together youth leaders and institutional representatives from
Africa and Europe and the African Youth Diaspora living in Europe in order to share and articulate
their actions on the development of the Africa-Europe youth dialogue and cooperation framework.
The meeting will look at the recommendations resulting from the Africa-Europe Youth Summits
and the conclusions and action Plan 2012-15 established by the Africa-Europe Youth Leaders
meeting, held in Addis Ababa in April 2011, particularly the implementation of the Africa-Europe
Youth Platform.

Objectives

 To improve the common understanding and sharing of knowledge of the youth policies in
both regions;
 To enhance the dialogue and cooperation among civil society and institutional partners and
to strengthen the commitment and partnership to further develop the Africa-Europe youth
cooperation, based on dialogue and mutual understanding;
 To prepare the establishment of the Africa-Europe Youth Platform, addressing the need of
a sustainable and permanent cooperation between African and European youth
organisations;
 To mobilize actors towards the implementation of the agreed plan of action 2012-15;
 To raise the commitment and alliance of governmental and non-governmental partners in
both regions, to move the Africa-Europe youth cooperation forward.
