Title North African Sub-Regional Seminar on Youth Policies and the African Youth Charter 
Description The North-African Sub-Regional Seminar on Youth Policies and the African Youth Charter took place in Hammamet, Tunisia, on 10-13 December, in the framework of the pilot experience for a Mediterranean University on Youth and Development. The seminar was part of the follow-up programme of the Africa-Europe Youth Summit, which was held in December 2007. It was the last of five sub-regional seminars held in five different sub-regions of the African Union. The first seminar was held in the West Africa Region, in June 2009 in the framework of the First African University on Youth and Development in Tarrafal, Cape Verde; the second was held in the East African Region, in Addis Ababa in November 2009; the third was held in the Southern Africa Region in Angola in 2010 and the fourth in the Central Africa Region was held in Libreville, Gabon in 2011.

The seminar is targeted to National Youth Councils (NYCs) leaders and national representatives of International
Youth Organisations, other youth organisations and Institutions working with youth and youth policies in the
North-Africa region (Algeria, Tunisia, Lybia, Egypt and Morocco).
