Project Purpose 1 - 2006/DG3/JP/1655   Establish a climate of transparency and trust of the population in the census results and ensure the international standards of the census
Expected Result 1.1 - Increased confidence in the census leads to a higher participation in the census and a credible final data The census is organised according to the international standards and in respect of ethnic minorities An appropriate mechanism is put in place to allow for a proper handling of data, avoiding misusage and with respect of its confidentiality

Activity Synopsis (ID# 25998)

Objective(s) Monitor the implementation of the recommendations issued by the Steering Committee after the 2008 field test.
 
Output/Results The Steering Committee reviewed the work done by SOK at the end of the period.
 
Conclusions/Follow Up The technical work on materials is encouraging.
It has been decided to focus on outreach activities in the coming months as inclusion of minorities is still a pending issue.
