Promote understanding of and respect for cultural diversity among young people through training and intercultural dialogue; promote quality and recognition of youth work as well as youth policy development and a better knowledge of youth. |

Developing European co-operation in the youth field through promoting youth policy, youth research, youth work and non-formal learning;
Investing in youth by putting in place greater resources in policy areas that affect young people and empowering youth by promoting the potential of young people |
- Training and non-formal learning activities with youth workers / youth leaders / trainers
- Seminars, workshops, network meetings, studies on various topics with researchers, policy makers and youth work practitioners
- Knowledge production and collection of knowledge on youth
- Specific actions with and in particular regions, such as South East Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus, the Euro-Mediterranean and in general Africa-Europe.
- Dissemination of results and of quality material, printed and virtually.

The two partners, CoE and EC as well as the Member States of the two institutions have a vital interest in increasing synergies in the field of youth policy and youth work and to co-operate at European level;
The field of youth policy and youth work needs support in order to foster and improve quality of youth work, setting standards and promote recognition of youth work, provide knowledge and achieve a better understanding of youth.
