    Overall Objectives The overall objective is to contribute to a better protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, especially the right to freedom of expression, in Turkey. The project purpose is to enhance the application of the ECHR and the ECtHR case-law in the field of freedom of expression in the daily work of the judiciary through the interpretation and implementation of the legislation in line with European standards

    Expected Result 0.1 Training curricula and capacity of the Justice Academy with regard to freedom of expression is improved
    Increase in the number of trainers available to train judges and prosecutors on freedom of expression
    Increase by 50% by the end of the project in the number of activities carried out by Academy on freedom of expression and press
    Increase in the part dedicated to freedom of expression in the pre-service and in-service training curricula

    Expected Result 0.2 Awareness and capacity of judges and public prosecutors on freedom of expression is increased
    At least %50 of the judges and prosecutors improved their knowledge and skills on freedom of expression and capacity to apply related standards.
    At least %80 of the press related judges and prosecutors improved their knowledge and skills and capacity to apply freedom of press standards.

    Increase in the public awareness about freedom of expression and press
    Increase by 50% by the end of the project in the number of freedom of express/press related activities organised in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
