    Overall Objectives To provide support to the reform processes in the EaP countries through a multilateral approach and to bring them closer to Council of Europe and EU standards in core areas covered by the Eastern Partnership Platform 1 “Democracy, good governance and stability”.


    Project Purpose 3      2011/DG I/JP/2524   Strengthen Good Governance and Fight against Corruption in EaP 1 126 365 
    To enhance good governance and strengthen the capacities of the public administration and criminal justice sector in order to effectively prevent and fight corruption in line with the Council of Europe Conventions and other international treaties The standards and practices of Eastern Partnership countries are in line with international standards, including in particular the Council of Europe Conventions against Corruption and other treaties and instruments

    Assessment reports prepared for each country:

    Final result reports/activity synopsis

    Final evaluation report and final project report
    Political will and cooperation with all relevant institutions supports actions as agreed and committed by EaP partner countries.

    Agreed priorities and recommendations of assessment reports are implemented by governments

    The tools and knowledge provided are translated into action by governments

    Countries feed knowledge/technical advice received into their specific reform

    (6 Activities) Narrative
    Eastern Partnership countries have defined and are committed to apply policy and prevention measures concerning enhancement of good governance and the fight against corruption

    3 regional workshops and 2 Regional Conferences on specific tools on good governance and Fight against corruption are carried out

    Methodologies in identifying the underlining causes of corruption presented and finalised through a regional conference and published for wider dissemination

    Document (declaration or similar) on regional and domestic priorities regarding good governance and the fight against corruption adopted by Eastern Partnership countries

    Assessment reports on actions adopted for each Eastern Partnership country

    External evaluation report
    Agreed priorities and recommendations of assessment reports are implemented by governments
