| Overall Objectives
To provide support to the reform processes in the EaP countries through a multilateral approach and to bring them closer to Council of Europe and EU standards in core areas covered by the Eastern Partnership Platform 1 “Democracy, good governance and stability”. |

To support and enhance the on-going process of reform of the judiciary with a view to increasing the independence, efficiency, transparency, accountability and accessibility of the judicial systems of the participating beneficiary countries, through intensive information exchange and best practice sharing. |
Gaps in legislation and practice are identified for each of the beneficiary countries;
Best practices and recommendations are formulated and presented to the authorities;
The obstacles to an effective reform of the judiciary are discussed and solutions are formulated.

Expected Result 1.2
Dissemination of the project’s recommendations and best practice among key national authorities and stakeholders at the national level with a view to adjusting national judicial reform policies in the identified areas of concern. |
The reports are translated, published and disseminated;
Policy round tables and conferences are held;
The follow-up to the recommendations is discussed and national authorities take them on board.
