    Overall Objectives To contribute to the strengthening of regional professional and institutional capacities in the field of restoration and rehabilitation of cultural heritage in the Western Balkans
     

     

     
    Project Purpose 1      2011/DG II/JP/2637   Ljubljana Process II: Rehabilitating our Common heritage 0 
    To contribute to setting up regional cooperation for permanent mechanisms in the fields of cultural heritage restoration and rehabilitation in order to implement coordinated and integrated social and economic development strategies. wide political support to the role and value of heritage to development processes;
    adoption and institutionalisation of the new methodological tools and efficient project management practices;
    increased involvement of the cultural and local communities;
    increased international, national, regional, and local collaboration;
    increased mobilisation of funding for integrated rehabilitation projects.
     
    meetings and statements of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South-East Europe;
    reports and minutes of the Task Force for Culture and Society and of the National Task Forces;
    intermediary activity reports prepared by the secretariat of the Task Force, by the Regional Cooperation Council, and the Secretariat of the Council of Europe;
    concerted actions between the Regional Cooperation Council, the European Commission and the Council of Europe in favour of useful reforms in countries.
     
    participation of all the countries in the region (including the European Union Member States: Bulgaria and Romania);
    interministerial mobilisation in each country;
    national ressources appropriatly mobilised to complement of funding provided by the European Commission and the Council of Europe.

    (0 Activities) Narrative
    the built heritage rehabilitation contributes to the social and economic development, and the awarness of the whole stakeholders concerning the role and the value of heritage in the society is increased.

    Elaboration of sustainable mechanisms for mobilising national and international funding to public and private investments to the rehabilitation of monuments and sites;
    fundings are secured for a minimum of 36 rehabilitation projects;
    the first works on sites are implemented by competent institutions;
    the rehabilitation of heritage is integrated into the national stratzgies for development;
    50 ''Plaques'' are awarded by the Task Force each year in order to labelise the rehabilitation processes carried out;
    the rehabilitation projects are enhanced as part of the national programmes for the European Heritage Days, exhibitions, and conferences / seminars.

    signed agreements and / or funding transferred;
    number of projects implemented;
    references to rehabilitation projects in political and strategical texts;
    events organised for the labelisation of the projects.
     
    the promotion of the projects must be organised and held at the higuest level in order to generate the investments which are the only valid confirmation of success of the rehabilitation projects.
