    Project Purpose 1      2016/DG I/JP/3736   HF-Bosnia and Herzegovina - Strengthening the Human Rights Ombudsman to fight discrimination “DISCO” 800 000 
    The role of the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina to prevent and combat discrimination is strengthened in line with European standards. Number and quality of Ombudsperson’s recommendations in discrimination cases / number of Ombudsperson’s recommendations implemented by public bodies / number of co-ordination meetings between the Ombudsperson and other public institutions to decide on strategic actions against discrimination.
     
    Data provided by the Ombudsperson institution / reports of the Council of Europe monitoring bodies / project progress reports.
     
    Continuous political and institutional support for the project
    implementation / coordination with other international actors is established.
     
    Expected Result 1.1 1.1. Strengthened capacity of the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina to prevent and combat discrimination.
    1.1. Number of staff members of the Ombudsperson institution trained on anti-discrimination issues / number of qualified trainers to conduct trainings on handling of anti-discrimination complaints / availability of the Council of Europe HELP courses.

    1.1. Activity reports and attendance sheets / data provided by the Ombudsperson institution / project reports.
     
    1.1. Continuous involvement and availability of the staff of the Ombudsperson institution / all partners give high priority to the action and are ready to use its outcomes in their activities.
    Expected Result 1.2 1.2. Fostered cooperation between the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other public institutions and NGOs in the fight against discrimination.
    1.2. Availability of reports on functioning of the Ombudsperson institution / number of co-ordination meetings between the Ombudsperson and other relevant institutions on implementation of the Ombudsperson’s recommendations / availability of a report on advocacy activities among relevant government bodies to strengthen the role of the Ombudsperson / availability of an expert assessment of the Draft multi-annual Strategy and Action Plan for preventing and combating discrimination / number of round tables on various aspects of protection against discrimination with participation of the Ombudsperson, relevant public institutions and the civil society.

    1.2. Expert report / minutes of co-ordination meetings of the Ombudsperson and relevant public institutions / project report and documentation / project report and documentation / feedback from the relevant public institutions and the civil society.
     
    1.2. A proper coordination is ensured with all the international organisations which are present in the country and implement activities in the field covered by the current action.
